What it does: Honest Work embeds instructions directly into your assignment documents that guide AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to help students learn instead of providing direct answers.
How it works:
- Upload your assignment document (DOCX or PDF)
- The program analyzes it and generates custom instructions tailored to your assignment
- It adds the instructions to the document's data (and optionally as hidden text)
- When a student copies the assignment into an AI tool, the AI reads these instructions first
- The AI is guided to ask questions, suggest resources, and encourage critical thinking instead of giving answers
Why it matters: Some students will use AI, instead of them getting a solved assignment, we can guide the interaction so they are encouraged to learn and do the work, ask questions, and form their own conclusions.
